As the news is that all the four team are decided for the IPL 2014 playoffs. It was an tragic end for few of the teams while few were lucky to be in the playoffs. Lets talk about it as per teams. Checkout the IPL 2014 playoffs teams with their performance in IPL7 season.
1st: Kings XI Punjab
As from the start of the season Kings XI Punjab played superbly. They won 11 matches and all with very easily. They have superb batting power with Maxwell, Miller, Sehwag, Vohra & Bailey. Vohra joined late but still he managed to score fast runs for their team. They have good bowling power as M Johnson, A Patel, Sandeep Sharma & R Dhawan. They are a great team unit and they deserve to be at the top. They qualified for the playoffs first and remained first.
2nd: Kolkata Knight Riders
It was an superb win by Kolkata Knight Riders to reach on the 2nd position. They needed the runs in less overs to improve their net run rate and they did it with help of Yusuf Pathan's fastest half century in 15 balls. They have superb opening batsman Robin Uthappa who scored lots of runs for his side this year and he is orange cap holder. They have Sunil Narine who bowled superbly again this year and he is the purple cap holder. They are very strong side and they did their hard work to reach at 2nd position.
3rd: Chennai Super Kings
They always have their upper hand in all the season. They already won 2 of them and they might go for this one but its a tough competition ahead for them. They played superbly this year with a new team. They have Dwayne Smith who is playing superbly this year and he will continue his form. McCullum supported him well in the opening. Faf du Plesis & Raina giving them a good backup in the middle while Dhoni & Jadeja always gives the finishing touch. They might be disappointing due to Kolkata Knight Riders' performance demoted to 3rd place. Still they are the good side with bat and bowl.
4th: Mumbai Indians
They came from no where and got a place into the playoffs. They lost 5 out of 5 games in the UAE & they thought they are gone but from no where they came in and won all the matches in India. They won 7 out of 7. The most important for them is that they won IPL 2013 and they deserve to be in the top four this year. They won a crucial match against Rajasthan Royals which was qualifier for both the teams. It was not for the weak hearts but they played superly to achieve target in just 14.3 overs. They did it and now they are in playoffs.
